What began as magic became magis.

For its 40th Charter Anniversary, the Rotary Club of New Manila East pledged 40 Acts of Rotary Magic, one for each year of service. It finished with 80. “What began as a celebration of magic became a movement of magis, a call to serve beyond expectations.”

The fortieth award, and the loudest.

A Silver Anvil for our coffee table book, the first ever won by a Rotary club in the Philippines for such a publication.

The 40th award of our 40th year.

On January 28, 2026, at the 61st Anvil Awards Recognition Night at the Solaire North Grand Ballroom, the book won a Silver Anvil in the Coffee Table Books and Print Publications category. RCNME became the first Rotary club in the Philippines to win an Anvil for a coffee table book, and only the second Rotary club to receive an Anvil in the awards' 61-year history. It was the club's 40th award in its 40th year.

“We set out to honor our past and inspire our future.” Karlo Benjamin Nisce, 40th President

“This was not a campaign created for awards consideration. It was a deliberate effort to document our legacy for future generations.” Jullian Anisco, Ruby Year Public Image Chairman
